Archives & Collections Centre >

The Glasgow School of Art's Archives and Collections are an outstanding resource for the study of art, design, architecture and art education.

They comprise a wide range of material from School records to artworks and architectural drawings, textile pieces, plasters casts, photographs and furniture. Our holdings include approximately 300 items by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, giving us the third largest Mackintosh holding in the world.

These items are housed in state of the art storage areas, while our Archives and Collections Centre provides first class facilities for researchers.

The Archives and Collections Centre is located in the basement of The Glasgow School of Art's Mackintosh Building.

Users are welcome to visit the centre and view the archives and collections in person.

The centre is open on Mondays between 9.30-12.30 and 13.45-16.45. All visitors must make an appointment in advance by contacting the archivist or curator.
