Archives & Collections Centre >

The Glasgow School of Art's archives and collections are an outstanding resource for the study of art, design, architecture and art education.

They comprise of a wide range of material from GSA's institutional archives to artworks and architectural drawings, textile pieces, plaster casts, photographs and furniture. Our holdings include approximately 300 items by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, giving us the third largest Mackintosh collection held in public ownership.

These items are housed in environmentally controlled storage areas, and can be accessed by our students, staff and the public by making an appointment to visit our Archives and Collections Centre.

To find out more about our activities and how historical resources can support contemporary creativity see our Archives and Collections blog and our Vimeo channel.

GSA Staff and Students can also access course related information via the Archives and Collections Virtual Learning Environment  pages.
