Mackintosh Library >

The Mackintosh Library houses some of the larger, oversized books from our Special Collections, along with all our pre-1985 journals. It also houses publications on and by the School's staff and students, both past and present, along with graduating students’ degree show catalogues. Rare and archival items, including periodicals dating back to the early 19th century and publications about Charles Rennie Mackintosh are also housed here.

Apart from the inclusion of a small office and the internal staircase, the Mackintosh Library remains very much as originally designed and is located on the first floor of the Mackintosh Building at the far western end.

The Library is open once a week during term time to GSA staff and students for quiet study and access to the collections. Members of the public are welcome to visit the Library as part of a tour of the Mackintosh Building  http://www.gsa.ac.uk/visit-gsa/mackintosh-building-tours/
