Degree Show 2011, the Mackintosh Building

Visiting our Campuses >

The Glasgow School of Art welcomes visitors and prospective students to its campus throughout the year. As a working art school, however, access to buildings is restricted.

There is currently no access to the interior of the Mackintosh building whilst restoration gets underway following a serious fire in 2014.

There is still plenty for visitors to do and see at The Glasgow School of Art, including year round exhibitions, daily student-led tours, our brand new Mackintosh Furniture Gallery, 'Window on Mackintosh' visitor centre and GSA Shop in the recently completed, state of the art Reid building.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the visitor centre, shop and gallery space in the Reid building ground floor during regular opening hours. These areas are wheelchair accessible.

The School runs academic open days for prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Prospective students who wish to visit the School should contact the Registry who will be happy to assist. They will be able to provide information on studying at The Glasgow School of Art and arrange for you to meet the appropriate admissions tutors. Registry can be contacted on +44(0)141 353 4512 or by email at

GSA's School of Simulation and Visualisation at Pacific Quay does not have any spaces open to the general public.
