Lesley Booth

Lesley Booth handles press on behalf of The Glasgow School of Art.

Lesley Booth studied Modern Languages (French and Russian) at the University of Bristol and the Pushkin Institute (Moscow) before beginning work in media relations and PR. She has over 20 years experience at a senior level finishing her in-house career as Head of PR for Glasgow City Council’s Cultural and Leisure Services. She established the specialist Creative Industries and Cultural PR Agency, New Century PR, in summer 2000 with a commitment to bring creativity and innovation to PR in this sector of the economy.

Lesley has delivered programmes with and for a wide range of artists, companies, organisations and agencies including British Council in Scotland, Scotland Development International, Scottish Arts Council/Creative Scotland and Visit Scotland. Lesley has also worked closely with both the Scottish Executive and, more recently, the Scottish Government.

When not attached to a mobile phone and laptop Lesley is most likely to be found dressmaking and knitting or at the top of a hill enjoying the great outdoors.
