Anna Murray

Anna graduated from GSA in 1991 and went to London to work at leading London design practices Tilney Shane, Imagination and Morey Smith which provided the opportunity to work with clients including London Transport, Eurostar, IBM, Warner Music, River Island and Heal’s.

Anna has been lecturing part time at GSA since she returned to Scotland in 2000. She has been running her own interior design businesses: Rehab Interiors Ltd. from 2007-2016 and now Habitus Design Ltd. Her design practice informs her teaching practice and welcomes the benefit of learning from students and mutual exchange of knowledge.

Anna has acquired a bit of a reputation as a detailing nerd, and she find the act of working out how to make a concept realisable incredibly satisfying. She recently completed the PG Cert in Learning and Teaching and used it to research and try out some ideas about how to tackle threshold concepts, in particular detailing for interior design.

Anna has been involved with GSofA Singapore since before it began and visits each academic year. Anna also has had the pleasure in recent years of organising and accompanying the year 3 students on the New York Study Trip.
