Forum for Critical Inquiry: Graduate Level >

There are many reasons for undertaking graduate study, career development being
the most frequent. However, for many students graduate study offers the valuable opportunity to further develop an individual point of view and a clear sense of purpose in their work and in their lives. For many students, the common interest is in generating new knowledge.

The GSA is also the second largest art and design research community in the UK, and opportunities exist for suitably qualified candidates who are interested in studying at PhD level.

Areas of research interest within the Forum include:

  • Critical response to contemporary art practice
  • Art and design in public places
  • Art and design pedagogy
