External Examiners >

The External Examiner system has long been the cornerstone of UK quality assurance arrangements. It offers institutions, including the GSA, assistance in ensuring that the standards of degrees and other awards in subject areas can be calibrated across institutions, as well as providing an external mechanism for monitoring fair practice in the assessment of students' performance.

External Examiners are crucial in assisting GSA in ensuring the quality and standards of its programmes are met. External Examiners provide GSA with informed and appropriate external references for the comparison of academic standards. They offer independent, objective and impartial judgments on a range of matters and provide professional advice and expertise in the form of findings and reports which are given serious consideration.

The links on the left provide information relevant for current External Examiners, but further information can also be provided by Registry on +44 (0)141 353 4416 or info@gsa.ac.uk.
