PhD Students in the Hen Run

Graduate School >

The Graduate School provides the space to integrate the highest levels of practice-led, studio-based and theoretical approaches, providing opportunities for ambitious students to build on previous undergraduate or professional experience and to reflect on and develop personal practice. Through working within a highly focused community framework students develop the necessary confidence and independence to proceed into a range of careers - fashion, textiles, design, architecture - or the path of a practicing artist.

The ethos of the Graduate School is all about becoming a motivated and independent creative thinker and practitioner within today's international arena. The place of our graduate research community and our academic research within this vision is central. Research at the GSA is outward facing - in other words we encourage our undergraduates and postgraduates to connect actively with the processes and outcomes of visual research.

For more information on studying at the Graduate School, please explore this website, join our social media networks and download our Graduate Prospectus.

Choosing to study at graduate level is a major decision.  But at the GSA, you will be joining one of the UK's largest communities for postgraduate creative education and research, based in the heart of one of Europe's most contemporary and vibrant cities.  We look forward to welcoming you to the Graduate School, to the GSA and to Glasgow.
