ACCOMMODATION

As Scotland's largest city and with five higher education institutions, Glasgow has an excellent supply of student accomodation, wherever in the City you choose to live.

The GSA has one purpose built hall of residence called Margaret Macdonald House. The residence is located within a couple of minutes walking distance from the Mackintosh Building and the rest of the GSA campus and is within easy reach of all city centre amenities. Margaret Macdonald House operates as a hall of residence from September to June each year and then during the summer months of July, August and September we are registered with the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley Tourist Board and many types of people use the accommodation on short visits to Glasgow.

In addition to the above GSA subleases residential accommodation from the University of Glasgow, located in the west end of the city. This accommodation is called Kelvinhaugh Street and almost half of all GSA bed spaces are located on this site. The housing is located just off Argyle and Sauchiehall Streets near Kelvingrove Park and is within easy reach of the city centre, GSA Campus and the west end.

For students who are interested in finding a private flat or a room, sharing with other students, the Student Welfare Department can assist with information on how you go about finding your own accommodation within the city. Contact welfare@gsa.ac.uk for further information.
