WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR?

Your portfolio should show evidence of:

Your portfolio provides admissions tutors with evidence of your prior achievements relevant to your chosen programme and evidence of your creativity, interests, ability and potential to succeed. It should reflect your intellectual curiosity, commitment, motivation and self-discipline and should emphasise your strengths.

You can provide evidence of your strengths through a range of "visual" work as a result of course projects or your own initiative. Your portfolio should give an idea of your interests and involvement in Design or Fine Art outside the classroom or college studio, as well as evidence of projects or set work from your previous art or design course.

We encourage you to be imaginative and to submit works in which you have used materials, processes or form in an inventive way. Portfolios are evaluated on an individual basis, in the context of the specific educational background and experiences of each applicant.

Be selective. Take advice on what should go in your portfolio; include your best and most recent work that you consider best represents your current creative interests and technical level.
