George Rawson-A School of International Stature
In the early years of the 20th century Glasgow School of Art had a strong international reputation and was unique among British schools in its employment of foreign artists in key teaching posts. Focusing on specific pieces within the show Rawson will shed light on past teaching staff and their influence within the School during this part of the School's history.
George Rawson is the curator of this exhibition and hold strong historical links with the School.

Ray McKenzie - The School and the City
Ray Mackenzie will explore Glasgow School of Art's links with the wider city of Glasgow: how Glasgow's industry influenced the School's activities, and how work by students contributed towards the appearance of Glasgow's cityscape.
McKenzie has recently retired as Senior Lecturer within the Historical and Critical department at Glasgow School of Art, where he has been a staff member for over 25 years. He is editor of the book published for the Mackintosh Centenary celebrations: The Flower and The Green Leaf: Glasgow School of Art in the time of Charles Rennie Mackintosh which is available for purchase from the Mackintosh shop.

Susannah Waters-Glasgow School of Art and its Archives
This talk will explore the history of the School's archives and collections. Focussing on examples from the exhibition, Waters will explain their original context, how they came to form part of the School's collections, and how they are still used by current staff and students.
Susannah Waters is the Archivist at Glasgow School Art.

Frances Robertson - Women Artists and Designers at GSA
Glasgow School of Art has a strong heritage of female teaching staff in both Fine Art and Design sectors. Using specific pieces from the show as a starting point, Robertson will discuss issues relating to the education, status and influence of women artists and designers in relation to the output and reputation of the School.
Frances Robertson currently teaches within the Historical and Critical Department of the Glasgow School of Art.
