BURSARIES

As part of the GSA's strategy to encourage wider participation in Further and Higher Education from currently under represented groups a number of bursaries are available.

Our bursaries are aimed at low income and unemployed applicants who would otherwise be unable to join our Continuing Education Programme. It is part of the GSA's commitment to ensure that access to a world-class education in art, design and architecture at the GSA is available to all based on talent, ability and potential.

CHILDREN'S SATURDAY COURSES BURSARIES

The School has a small number of bursaries available for children attending Saturday classes. Parents or guardians should apply for a bursary on behalf of their child/children in line with the criteria detailed below.

Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Applicants will be required to supply the School with documentary evidence of their entitlement.

LEVERHULME BURSARIES FOR PORTFOLIO PREPARATION

The Leverhulme Trust have funded 10 bursaries for the Portfolio Preparation Programme. Applicants must meet the academic criteria for the course and be otherwise unable to attend due to financial constraints. Priority will be given to student living with Social Inclusion Partnership Areas or attending a School classified as a GOALs School by the Scottish Funding Council.

APPLY FOR A BURSARY

Students can apply for a bursary once they have been offered a place on the course. Please contact us on +44 (0) 141 353 4596/4565 or con-ed@gsa.ac.uk to request a bursary application form.

NOTES FOR APPLICANTS

The School anticipates that demand for assistance will, unfortunately, far out-number the number of bursaries available. We therefore also ask applicants to submit a brief statement in support of their application.

The Bursaries Committee will meet soon after the closing date and you will be informed of the outcome by telephone as soon as possible.

The School's decision on all matters relating to the award of bursaries is final. There is no right of appeal.
