During the summer months of July, August and September The Glasgow School of Art's student residence accommodations are set up for vacation rentals and is rented out to individuals, families and groups in addition to students.
Margaret Macdonald House is now registered as a 2 star Hostel with Visit Scotland. The people who take advantage of the low priced accommodation include back packers, students, families, summer school students, student groups and other groups including pipe bands. All bedrooms are single and almost 50% of the rooms are ensuite.
The Old School House offers a more traditional style of accommodation. All bedrooms are ensuite and this building boasts a variety of rooms including twin, single and double. The Old School House maximum occupancy is 28 and we consider the traditional set up with lounge, dining room and catering kitchens would suit groups visiting Glasgow. A special offer of 15% reduction has been introduced to the tariff for groups.
