Mackintosh Lecture Theatre, Mackintosh Building, The Glasgow School of Art,

All welcome

Outset Scotland warmly invites you to ‘A New Approach to Collecting Contemporary Art’. Tim Eastop and Robert Lee, founding members of ‘The Collective’, a network of groups collecting, sharing and enjoying contemporary art, will share their insights into collecting art in the 21st century.

The Collective was founded in London in 2002 by a group of friends and families interested in living with contemporary art both in their homes and places of work. Today it has expanded to eight collecting groups across England.

Outset Scotland in partnership with The Collective and Own Art, is delighted to support the introduction of this collecting model in Scotland. We are hosting a series of events and workshops for aspiring and existing collectors to equip them with the necessary knowledge, tools and support networks to co-operatively build and maintain a contemporary art collection in groups.

The evening will be led by Producer Juliet Dean who is leading this pilot project. We would be delighted if you would join us for presentations followed by informal discussion over drinks. Please feel free to extend this invitation to friends and colleagues who may be interested.

Spaces are free but limited. RSVP to Eventbrite.

Supported by Own Art, Outset Scotland, The Collective and The Glasgow School of Art.
