Part of MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) Graduate Degree Show 2017 presentations - full programme available here.

Closing event and performance 23 August 5 - 7pm - tickets

For the week-long CRACK SQUAD OF SITU residency (16-23 Aug), artist Fritz Welch and curator Holly Knox Yeoman occupy the ‘off season’ University of Glasgow - History of Art Department.

The project agitates on the regulation of space, imagination and desire - the building coming alive through a combination of use, including Welch’s artwork and rehearsals, and a series of staged meetings by Knox Yeoman. Propagating the context with people and activities, the project explores the importance of the network, to propel creativity and change.

Galvanizing the department as a context to make use of, the artwork, rehearsals and meetings, become mechanisms to lasso the future. Welch’s wall drawings, installation and interventions combine with the building’s interior to form a graphic score, rehearsed during the week, culminating in a performance with collaborators Louise Ahl, Alex Baggaley, Adam Campbell and Maria Donohue (23 Aug, 17:00-19:00). In tandem Knox Yeoman’s ‘curatorial office’, in the foyer of the Department, uses a performative-agenda with invited artists and curators to address and contribute towards future projects.

A reconfiguration of installation is presented 2-7 September 2017, at the MLitt Graduate Degree Show at Tontine Building, Glasgow School of Art, 20 Trongate, Glasgow G1 5NA. EGO DEPLETION (Fritz Welch and Adam Campbell) perform on the 7 September, 19:00-20:00. Please reserve your ticket here.
