Mackintosh School of Architecture Undergraduate Showcase 2014

Stage 3 Architecture students from the Mackintosh School of Architecture celebrate their year's work with a showcase and series of curated events.

The Rag Factory, Shoreditch, London, E1 5LJ
10th - 13th July

Preview Evening Thursday 10th July, 6pm - late

A presentation of two projects; a Herbarium archive set within a rural Scottish landscape, and an urban study of Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula. The exhibition features highlights of a diverse range of work showing a rigorous, thoughtful and in-depth study through a combination of hand drawing, digital imagery and model making.

Pecha Kucha
Friday 11th July, 7.30pm

Over our three years of study we have explored how the essence of an idea can not only be the initial foundation for a project but grow to define its development and outcome. In response we are proud to curate a Pecha Kucha event on the theme of 'Creative Beginnings' to take place on Friday 11th July.

We are delighted to announce the following speakers:

  • Professor Chris Platt (Head of Mackintosh School of Architecture)
  • John McAslan CBE (John McAslan + Partners)
  • Tracy Meller (Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners)
  • Dr Ambrose Gillick (Mackintosh School of Architecture)
  • Dr Bo Tang (CASS)
  • Alistair Parvin (WikiHouse)
  • Michael Dougall (President Glasgow Institute of Architects / Collective Architecture)
  • + More To Be Confirmed!

We have enjoyed an exciting three years of study together and would love to share some of the highlights with friends, family, institutions, and industry practitioners.
