Visitors are warmly welcomed to discover this iconic architectural gem on our award-winning, student-led guided tours. Please note that access to the interior space of the Mackintosh building is only possible as part of a guided tour in order to manage and preserve the integrity of the building and students education.

Our tour guides are all either current students or new graduates of The Glasgow School of Art.  This means that as well as a deep understanding of the heritage, history and design of the Mackintosh building, they have a genuine respect for the students and staff occupying the spaces through which they bring our visitors and make a concerted effort to balance visitor access with the day to day working life of the School.  Our guides bring personality and energy to the visitor experience, each adding their own twist to our tours, why not check out our visitor feedback!
