Immerse yourself in the life and times of innovative architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh and investigate Glasgow’s distinctive architectural styles at the turn of the century.

Discover Mackintosh’s impressive city centre designs, his lesser known architectural gems and buildings by his contemporaries working in internationally acclaimed ‘Glasgow Style’ Art Nouveau.

Spot Mackintosh’s work as a junior draughtsman as the tour uncovers his lesser known designs and investigate the architectural gems of the Glasgow greats such as Alexander ‘Greek’ Thompson who preceded and inspired him and unearth impressive buildings by his contemporaries in hidden corners of the city from Garnethill to Central Station.

Explore architectural styles that spanned the development of this thriving industrial period in Glasgow, the 'Second city of the British Empire'. Discover the influence of a small group of GSA trained artists and designers who developed the radical, romantic 'Glasgow Style', creating a lasting impact celebrated the world over.
