Programme Overview

This course offers a practical approach to the techniques of watercolour painting. With the emphasis on drawing and the creative process, a series of progressively graded exercises will be introduced covering methods and techniques, the elements of tone and colour, and composition working form subjects such as still life and landscape (photographs). Throughout the course the work of artists both traditional and contemporary will be referred to demonstrating the diversity and possibilities of the medium. The aim of this course is to develop your visual awareness and to develop your own artistic practice.
