Programme Overview

The GSA Summer School will run over 5 weeks and give students the opportunity to experience degree -level study at Art School.
The programme is available at two levels:

One aimed at students with little or no experience of degree-level work and is ideal for students wishing to fulfil a General Education requirement in Art & Design, or for students who want to confirm that Art School is the right choice for them. The other level (SCQF Level 8) is aimed at students with the equivalent of one-year's credits at HE level in Art & Design, and is designed to allow students to develop their conceptual and subject-specific skills in their chosen specialism.

Each student on the International Summer School will be allocated individual studio space.

The programme will enable students to develop research and conceptual skills in Fine Art.
Over the Five Week summer programme students will spend two weeks of research and developmental drawing & three weeks in exploration and outputs. The programme will include location exploration in Glasgow, and a field trip.

Students may choose to stay in single standard, or single en-suite rooms on campus, with or without a meal-plan, or may arrange alternative accommodation if they wish.
