Programme Overview

The Continuing Education Department is proud to run its own glass workshop which offers a unique specialism taught in only a few institutions in the UK.  Over time as this medium has been relegated to more specialist venues, it has found an exciting place within Con Ed.  Our courses offer students the chance to learn while testing the boundaries of this fluid material.

Evening Courses

Stained Glass Workshop

This course will introduce you to the various techniques for creating leaded and stained glass window panels. You will cover the processes of cutting, painting, etching, leading and an introduction to fusing. You will receive one-to-one instruction and demonstrations while working towards completing a small window, panel or object.

Fused and Stained Glass Jewellery

In this 9 week course you will explore various glass techniques to produce a range of wearable jewellery pieces. You will learn essential skills for cutting, leading, painting, enamelling, lustering, sandblasting and fusing. The course will allow you to make a selection of finished pieces and explore the qualities and potential of coloured glass.

Day Courses

Stained Glass Workshop
