Programme Overview

A new and growing programme, Illustration has found a place within our department in the past few years.  For many students these courses offer a foundation from which to expand or develop a creative career while for others it is an opportunity to experiment with design and visual communication in a more personal direction.

Evening Courses

Illustration

A visual alternative to writing, Illustration communicates an intuitive response that is quicker and more concise than text that encapsulates and compliments the author's intent.  This course offers an introduction to Illustration and the study of various techniques and skills that will assist your development as an Illustrator.

Comic Books & Graphic Novels

This course will be an active approach to the understanding and creation of a personal idea. Comics can range from superheroes to talking animals, personal autobiography to non-fictional historical accounts, with the style varying from project to project.  You will grow a better understanding of the potential of this medium while building a series of individual finished products.
