Programme Overview

Housed within the new design complex at Skypark, the textile courses offered incorporate hand drawn design as well as digital printing and design processes.   Students create one of a kind fabrics, garments, and embroidered pieces through one on one tutelage aimed at developing students individual goals.

Evening Courses

Textile Printing

This studio based, hands-on course will teach you how to design and print your own unique fabrics. You will start with drawings that will be used to develop your designs. You will be introduced to a range of techniques and will learn how to transform your ideas to silkscreen from which to print your fabrics.

Pattern Cutting

This course covers pattern cutting and garment construction techniques for shoulder suspended garments. You will learn how to create a garment from scratch and have a better understanding of how to create your own styles and designs.

Hand & Machine Embroidery

This course provides an introduction to traditional embroidery skills both by hand and using domestic sewing machines.  Students will be encouraged to apply these techniques in a creative and contemporary manner to create decorative and modern surface patterns.
