Programme Overview

This course is designed for anyone using oil paint for the first time, or those with limited experience that want to enhance their knowledge and skills of drawing and painting further. Oil paint is a lot of fun and, with the right approach, is easier for beginners to use than people sometimes assume. Working from still life and photographic images you will receive step-by-step instruction throughout. You will learn about the nature and use of the materials, tone, composition and colour through a series of progressive exercises designed to suit each individual’s interests and stage of development.
