Programme Overview

Learn new textile skills and try out a variety of sewing, crafting and surface pattern design techniques to include Up-cycle a t-shirt, create colourful yarns, make an accessory to wear or make a coiled storage pot. Try different techniques such as batik resist technique where liquid wax is applied to the fabric surface and colourful dyes are the hand painted to create vibrantly patterned design and many more.

This course has a maximum of 10 students and can be booked during week one (30 July - 3 August) or week two (6 - 10 August) of Young Creatives' Summer School 2018.
