Mackintosh Building Tours >

Following a fire on the 23rd of May 2014 in the Mackintosh Building at The Glasgow School of Art, all Mackintosh Building Tours have been cancelled. There will be no access to the interiors of the Mackintosh Building for the next 12 months as work begins on restoration.

Previous bookings for the Mackintosh Building Tour have been automatically transferred on to our new tour, Mackintosh at the GSA, for the same time and date as original booking from the 1st of July onwards. These tours are led by our award-winning team of tour guides, offered at the same price as Mackintosh Building Tours and last 1 hour.

The Mackintosh at the GSA Tour explores Charles Rennie Mackintosh's story at The Glasgow School of Art, from student to master architect. This external tour enables visitors to discover Mackintosh’s ideas, inspirations, education and relationships by exploring the Mackintosh Building façade along with a number of hidden architectural gems in the local area with a special connection to this celebrated architect.

If you have a prior booking and wish to change the time or date of your booking, or cancel this replacement tour and receive a refund for your original booking and Eventbrite fees please contact us.

Mackintosh Building Tour gift vouchers and ATPi Commonwealth Games package vouchers for this tour can be used on our new Mackintosh at the GSA Tour or as part payment for a City Walking Tour.

Arrive at the 'Window on Mackintosh' Visitor Centre to discover more about the Schools rich history, join a tour and browse designs by students, staff and alumni in the GSA Shop.
