"Led by bright and well-informed students, these popular tours take in a century of urban development and look at the creative regeneration" THE INDEPENDENT, TOP 10 UK ARCHITECTURE TOURS

"Sometimes the best people to tell you about the cultural life and history of the city are the people actually creating it, so the GSA's walking tours are led by the School's students." THE GUARDIAN, 10 UNUSUAL TOURS

"Walk of Art - if you fancy getting a bit of excercise while taking in some culture, the Glasgow School of Art Walking Tours are ideal!" I-ON GLASGOW

"Discover the 'Glasgow Style' and tour buildings designed by the famous Mackintosh with the Glasgow School of Art's highly recommended walking tours." LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS, TOP 10 CITY ARCHITECTURE TOURS AROUND THE WORLD

The highlight of the trip has to be Glasgow School of Art, in which you can really see its former pupil's dreams for a new Scottish-influenced style realised. Students and recent graduates have expanded the programme to a series of outdoor walking tours including The Glasgow Style, which sets Mackintosh's designs in context with other notable architecture in the city. My visit took in the inaugural tour and the worst of the weather - but the rain added a sense of adventure rather than turning it into a wash out." LIVERPOOL DAILY POST TRAVEL,  A CHARLES RENNIE MACKINTOSH TOUR OF GLASGOW

"No visit to the city is complete without making a pilgrimage to the Glasgow School of Art. Designed by pioneering architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who was one of the first to combine elements of Scottish architecture with art nouveau and an early form of art deco this quite outstanding building was badly damaged in a devastating fire last year. Fortunately much of the building was saved from destruction and rebuilding work is already underway. Visitors can now enjoy a guided tour of the exterior and the glass-fronted new extension which faces it. You can also see a stunning collection of furniture designed by Mackintosh and rescued from the blaze which destroyed the iconic library." THE NORTHEN ECHO, GLASGOW IS MILES BETTER.

"Current GSA student, Fran Lightbound personifies the new Glasgow. Bright and stylish, she’s a guide for the Glasgow Miracle Walking Tour and shares the “miracle” of the city’s creative regeneration, when artists in the 1970s began redefining it as an internationally acclaimed arts mecca."
