Arriving at GSA Halls

Check-in times for arrivals:

Seven days per week - 2pm to 8pm.


Check-in, reception and key collection for both accommodation sites is:

Information specific to the accommodation
We have included information regarding the accommodation in general. For any additional information required about more specific points do not hesitate to contact us.

BED LINEN - bed linen is supplied.
TOWELS - Towels are not supplied in guest rooms but can be hired for £2 on site or guests are welcome to provide own.

HAIR DRYER - not supplied in room but can be borrowed from reception.

INSURANCE - Residents are responsible for own personal possession insurance.
CAR PARK - Limited number of free permits available. Parking is restricted due to quantity of spaces and gate/underpass entry to car park.
MAIL - Post should be sent addressed to you, c/o Residence Office, 89 Buccleuch Street, Glasgow, G3 6QT. Post is then delivered to the Residence Office and should be collected there during office open times.
STAFF - The hours that the Residence Office is staffed during the summer months (July, August and September) are 8am to 8pm - 7 days. The Residence Manager is available on site in the office from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday. At all other unstaffed office times 24 hour security is available at the School.
LAUNDRY - Washing and drying machines are available to residents in the residence laundry. There are 2 wash and 2 dry machines. A laundry load costs £2.00 and drying £1.00 for 50 minutes. Laundry at the Old School House is free for guests.
LOST KEYS - Each resident will be issued with a set of room/flat keys on arrival. A £20 charge will be made where keys are lost for a replacement set.
SMOKING - Is not permitted in bedrooms or flats. The Glasgow School of Art operates a 'no smoking' policy.
FIRE - The residence has an automatic fire alarm system. Fire extinguishers and blankets located throughout.
ALL ACCOMMODATION IS FULLY FURNISHED - Residents only require to provide own possessions, equipment and towels. (Kitchens are equipped for self cater purposes.)
CLEANING OF ACCOMMODATION - For Short term guest's rooms are prepared for your arrival and serviced weekly. Longer-term guest's - rooms, lounges and kitchens will be serviced weekly by the cleaning staff. Residents are responsible for their own cleaning between the weekly cleaner's visit. All kitchens are provided with additional cleaning materials and refuse bags. These cleaning materials are provided for resident's use. Residents are also asked to change refuse bags when required and remove rubbish to the designated bin areas.
ACCOMMODATION LOCATION - Our campus location within the city centre and the surrounding area offers a good variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and access to several public transport services to the remainder of Glasgow and Scotland. The rooms at the accommodation are located on floors 1-4. There is no elevator or porter service. Access to the Old School House involves 2 sets of stairs. Where you require a low level floor you should arrange for this before your arrival.
INTERNET ACCESS - all bedrooms have free internet access via ethernet cable with residents own laptop. Cables are available onsite at a cost of £3. There is no WIFI access available at our accommodation.
