GSA International >

A wide range of international activities are undertaken at the GSA and are supported in the following way:

International Committee

Staff from across GSA sit on the International Committee whose remit includes overseeing our internationalisation strategy and the selection of new international partners. The Deputy Director & Director of Academic Development is responsible for signing most international partnership agreements.

Study Abroad & Exchange

Our Study Abroad & Exchanges Officer, based within our International Office at Blythswood House, supports students with incoming & outgoing mobility to our many partner institutions. She is the main administrative contact for our exchange & study abroad partner and also responsible for administering our Erasmus grant payments.

International Academic Development

Our Head of International Academic Development takes the lead on a range of international partnerships - including those associated with the Distributed Academy - joint delivery, articulations, and letters of recognition. Along with this he also offers advice to staff from across the GSA in setting up new collaborative activity.

Student Recruitment and International Office

The Head of Student Recruitment and International Office oversees our international student recruitment activities and our international student mobility initiatives. She is also our Erasmus Institutional Co-ordinator.

Along with generous funding from the European Commission under the Erasmus Programme the GSA also supports international activities through its research funds, internationalisation funds and through travel bursaries for students.
