Leigh has an MA from the Royal college of Art and has worked as a freelance designer since graduation in 2000. In 2003 Leigh became the Subject for Knit on the Fashion and Textiles course at The Glasgow School of Art. Leigh was a senior Lecture for Knit at the University of Northumbria and has been an invited guest lecturer at Shih Chen University in Taiwan.
Alongside lecturing, Leigh runs a successful design studio producing work across a variety on contexts. He has also been commissioned to create one-off pieces for a variety of private clients as well as selling bespoke and commercial work to interior designers and architects internationally.
Colour is paramount in Leigh’s ideas and inspires everything he does. He is interested in how people perceive and interpret colour. He is also fascinated by the digital drawing medium because it opens up limitless opportunities and challenges.
