Colin Kirkpatrick

Colin Kirkpatrick is Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager at The Glasgow School of Art, a role that involves helping colleagues to disseminate, share and exploit their research and expertise through public engagement, collaborative research, consultancy and commercial projects with non-academic partners.

Before joining GSA, Colin worked for six years as a Senior Consultant at BOP Consulting, where he was involved in a wide range of strategic and evaluation projects, many of which focused on the impacts of creative and cultural programmes, for clients such as NESTA, Skillset, Arts Council England and the Council of Europe. Prior to that, Colin worked in knowledge exchange at the University of Westminster, including as Director of a programme to support the then emergent digital media industry in London.

Colin is also a Visiting Lecturer on the Graduate School's MRes in Creative Practices programme, where he invites students to explore why researchers are increasingly asked to consider the social, cultural, economic and other impacts of their work, and to examine how this might influence their approach to research.
