Vivienne Vine

Vivienne joined the Communications team at GSA in 2015 and works across a range of areas within the School, including student recruitment, campus development and internal communications.

Prior to this, she worked in the Marketing and Communications team at the University of Brighton (2011 until 2015) on a wide range of planning, projects and campaigns, with staff and students from across academic subjects and central departments. From 2014-15 she specifically supported Brighton Business School.

Vivienne studied MDes Fashion Design and Business Studies at the University of Brighton, where her graduate show design work explored fame and icons. Her favourite celebrity couple is Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, her project research examined perceptions of glamour.

In 2011, she was a finalist in the international Fashioning the Future Awards run by UAL. Her project created both a brand identity and a business plan for a new, scalable fashion and textiles company which would address some of the common, complex ethical and economic issues found in manufacturing.

While studying, she started to work in part-time roles within education, including taking part in a Student Associate Scheme, run by the Teacher Training Agency and working within both Aim Higher and Widening Participation.

These roles included working with students and teachers on: one to one student mentoring, fashion and textiles workshops, revision days, foundation art programme classroom assistance, university application and interview preparation.

Before starting to work within education, Vivienne gained ten years experience in retail and brand management roles.
