Cost of Living - How Much Will I Need?

Based on the following breakdown, we recommend that you allow approximately £1000 per month minimum (excluding entertainment) for a single student and £1800 for a couple. If you have children, add approximately £5000 a year per child excluding the cost of childcare.

The following is a rough breakdown of the estimated cost per month for a single student living in shared self-catering accommodation:

  • Miscellaneous (clothes, toiletries, bus & train fares, etc) £120

You should also remember that you will need to budget for travel home.
