Circular Economy Symposium

Event info
>

The Glasgow School of Art's Innovation School hosts a circular economy symposium at the GSA Highlands & Islands campus in Forres. The symposium will bring together local individuals, projects and businesses, all from the Moray and Highlands region and all operating within the circular economy. The day will feature a number of talks and demonstrations from our guests, learning experiences, networking, and a talk via Skype from one of our partners, the Monte Verde Institute in Costa Rica.

It will be a great opportunity to see how industry, large and small, is responding to the need for change to a more sustainable economy, and learn how the Moray and Highlands region is taking practical steps to use land more sustainably and develop more sustainable products and services.

There will also be an opportunity to speak directly to our guests over lunch and continue to network over a drink at the end of the day, with a low carbon BBQ cooked on site from sustainable local sources.

Guest Speakers Include:

· John Thorne (The Glasgow school of Art)

· Fern Perkins (Monte Verde)

· Rachel Kluik (University of Massachusetts)

· Iain Findley (Aurora)

· Leiwis Just (Regen Network)

· Phil Mills (Moray Waste Busters)
