Join GSA BDes (Hons) Digital Culture students at the Apple Store
in Buchanan Street Glasgow as they collaborate towards two
informative events to show how, with the right kind of
software, it is possible to create a prototype iPad app. Get a
chance to interact with the team as they use Illustrator,
Maya, Animation, After Effects, and RunRev Live Code, with
the aim of achieving a working prototype.
Part One: Putting a Sting Into Your App Tuesday 9 April
4:30pm
On day one join Glasgow School of Art BDes (hons) Digital Culture
students, and see them demonstrate the creative steps required to
make a sting and prototype design for an App using Apple
technology. The students will guide us through the necessary steps
required to create the App towards a second concluding event on
Wednesday.
Part Two: Prototyping an App for iPad Wednesday 10 April
4:30pm
On day two see the GSA team create a completed prototype app using
RunRev Live Code software and upload it onto an Apple iPad, and
finally see them put the "sting" into the app. On hand will be the
team from RunRev to demonstrate how their software is essential to
the students work, and to give us the chance to get some hands-on
instruction into how to create an App from the ground up.
