Digital Culture is a programme that integrates creativity with emergent technologies in today’s society. The programme allows students to produce innovative and fresh ideas whilst gaining hybrid skills in art, design and technology. With an ever-changing digital landscape and the rise of a networked society, students evolve and adapt their work around current trends using an array of media. Through practical projects, students learn to create procedural imagery, motion graphics, video and produce interactive artefacts for a variety of creative contemporary platforms. Students also implement computer code into their work such as HTML5, CSS, Livecode, Javascript, Processing and Arduino based microelectronics. Social media and online collaboration have made this happen, which allows students to be free to explore their creative minds and further release their potential.
