Florian Beigel in partnership with Philip Christou practice, teach and research architecture. They are Co-Directors of the Architecture Research Unit (ARU), at London Metropolitan University. ARU is a design as research laboratory, building architectural prototypes at the small and large scales. Beigel is Professor and Christou is Associate Professor of Architecture at the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University). They have worked together as Diploma Unit tutors in Architecture for more than 20 years at London Met.

The works and writings of Beigel, Christou and the Architecture Research Unit have been published extensively in international journals and books and the work has been exhibited internationally
