Folke Köbberling is an artist and professor at the Institute for Architecture-Related Art at Technical University Braunschweig, Germany, where she teaches architecture students in art.
She studied art at the Kassel School of Art and architecture at the University of the Arts in Berlin and held teaching appointments, among others, in Berlin, Vienna, London, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. Her work was exhibited, among others, at Dirty Windows Gallery Berlin, Shedhalle Zurich, Galerie Weißenhofsiedlung Stuttgart, Bergamot Station Art Center Los Angeles, London Festival of Architecutre, Chinati Foundation Marfa/Texas, Gallery Anselm Dreher Berlin, and Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich.
Her work includes permanent and temporary installations as well as performances, in which the relation between humans and the built environment plays a crucial role.
