Rosalie Schweiker

Rosalie Schweiker will be in conversation with Rebecca Fortnum around three recent experiences of crisis communication: Something Different, London Art Economies and Migrants In Culture.  Crisis communication is a sub-specialty of the public relations profession that is designed to protect and defend an individual, company, or organisation facing a public challenge to its reputation. Something Different was an Artist in Industry Residency at McVitie’s, commissioned by HS2 in partnership with OPDC and co-curated and produced by Create. London Art Economies is a zine commissioned by Company Drinks and the Centre for Plausible Economies. Migrants in Culture is a network of migrants organising to create the conditions of safety, agency and solidarity in the culture sector for migrants, people of colour and all others impacted by the UK’s immigration regime.

Rosalie Schweiker was born in South Germany and lives in South London. Recent achievements include: Level 2 City & Guilds Certificate in Fruit & Vegetable Gardening, Paul Hamlyn Award for Artists and Crisis Communication, solo show at Kunsthalle Osnabrueck.
