The performing arts are one of few disciplines in which art, sound, fashion and design intertwine with literature and performance. Join the GSA and National Theatre of Scotland for an evening of informal conversation hosted by Arts Writer & Critic, Moira Jeffrey, exploring the unique relationship between designers and directors and the pivotal role that design can play in the performing arts.

The panel includes:

  • Laurie Sansom - Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Scotland and director of The Driver’s Seat.
  • Ana Inés Jabares Pita – designer and overall Linbury Prize winner 2013 for The Driver’s Seat.
  • Kai Fischer – director and designer whose most recent work Last Dream (On Earth), featured an extremely innovative use of sound design.
  • Matt Padden – Head of Sound at the National Theatre of Scotland and Last Dream (On Earth) sound designer.
