The Glasgow School of Art

Platform is an award winning arts building located at the heart of The Bridge in Easterhouse. The Bridge is an overarching name for 4 facilities: John Wheatley College, Platform and Glasgow Life's library and swimming pool. 

Over the past few months fourth year students from the Environmental Art and Sculpture Department at GSA have developed new art work in response to the architecture and function sites around Platform and The Bridge. 

This is the second collaboration of its kind between the GSA and Platform, and culminates in an exhibition featuring art works in the form of sculpture, film, projection, painting, installation and text.  Work has been placed in unusual locations within the building, challenging our expectations and perceptions of visual art and creating an interesting form of engagement between GSA students, staff members and users of Platform.

With work by Mollye Bendell, Leanora Brophy, Sofie Fischer-Rasmussen, Steven Grainger, Philip Longstaff, Louise Malone, Mick Chen, Gail McLintock, Alex Misick, Roisin Strang-Moran, Ellen Schafer & Yuan Zhang.

Platform is open 9.00am - 8.00pm Mon - Fri, and 10.00am - 5.00pm Sat and Sun.
