In an illustrated talk Deirdre Nelson will present her journey to The Kildas of Scotland, New Zealand and Australia and introduce ‘the saints’ met along the way. As a textile artist Deirdre explored new ways of working through jewelry techniques. Her research, processes and materials will be explored in a humorous talk of her 2014 Commonwealth project.
