Daniel Bär was educated at the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany.
During his studies and after graduating he worked for KuehnMalvezzi Architects and was mainly involved in the extension of the Belvedere museum in Vienna. Furthermore he undertook a feasibility study for the Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, the exhibition architecture for the Stoschek Collection in Düsseldorf, the conversion of a loft in Düsseldorf, and the site supervision for the conversion of a factory into a flat in Berlin.In 2010 Daniel moved to Scotland and started working for Dualchas Architects, where he is now a team leader for the practice’s Glasgow office. His first completed design, the Cliff house, won both RIBA and RIAS awards and was nominated for the Manser medal.
