Event info

In this lecture Professor Paul Coldwell will develop themes from his current book 'Printmaking - A Contemporary Perspective' (Black Dog Publishers) and will consider the role of printmaking as part of a broad art practice. The talk will reference works by key historical figures such as Rembrandt, Goya, Morandi and Utamaro alongside contemporary artists such as Dietor Roth, Paula Rego, Michael Craig-Martin & Richard Deacon. The talk will also draw upon his own printworks and how digital advances are impacting on traditional processes.
