Throughout the week our Zoom and Q&A sessions will enable you to find out more about what it is like to study at the GSA. You will hear from the GSA's five specialist Schools, on the following days:

Mon 25: Mackintosh School of Architecture

09:30 – Diploma in Architecture (RIBA Part 2 accredited) programme introduction.

10:30 – Overview of Masters in Architectural Studies.

11:30 – What to expect in Stage 4, your first year of Diploma in Architecture.

12:30 – Meet the Students: Catch up with Diploma in Architecture students to hear about their experiences of work and study.

13:30 – PhD Opportunities in Architecture with Dr Dave Loder

14:00 – Introductory talk on Architectural Technology.

14:30 – Overview of the importance of History and Theory in Architecture.

15:00 – Living on campus: Join the accommodation team to find out more about living in Halls at GSA.

15:30 – Meet academic staff from Masters in Architectural Studies to find out more about the Urban Building and Urban Design Pathways.

Tuesday 26: School of Design

08:30 –  Pre Sessional Courses: English for the Creative Disciplines

09:25 – How to prepare an application for postgraduate study in Design.

10:20 – MDes Interior Design - Overview of the programme and how to apply.

11:00 – Introduction to the two year taught masters MDes Communication Design.

12:00 – Programme talk on the MSc in Product Design Engineering (join GSA/University of Glasgow programme).

12:30 – Doctoral Studies: PhD opportunities in Design.

13:00 – MDes Fashion and Textiles – Overview of the programme and how to apply.

13:45 – Parrots, Pop-Ups & Patterns: Library Collections at GSA ­– GSA Librarian and Collections Manager Duncan Chappell will take you on a safari of rare and distinctive materials in the GSA Library. 

15:15 – Advice on how to fund your postgraduate studies at GSA.

16:00 – A guide to the workshops and specialist technical support available across GSA.

Wednesday 27: School of Fine Art

09:30 – Join Researcher and Lecturer Christina McBride to hear more about how to prepare an application and portfolio for postgraduate Fine Art study.

10:30 – Programme talk: MLitt Curatorial Practice with Dr Karen Di Franco.

11:10 – MLitt Fine Art Practice: Join Acting Programme Leader Marita Fraser for an overview on how to apply and hear from students currently studying on the programme about their experiences at GSA.

12:30 – Introduction to GSA’s Archives and Collections.

13:00 – Why environmental and social justice at an art school? GSA’s Sustainability Coordinator John Thorne joins us to ask what can artists, designers and architects do to tackle climate change and the other crises facing us? (Spoiler: the answer is a lot, and it’ll broaden and deepen your practice).

13:30 – Introduction to the two year Master of Fine Art programme with Programme Leader Henry Rogers.

14:30 – MLitt Art Writing programme talk with Dr Laura Haynes.
