Rachel Maclean: 'Brawny Bachelors & Macho Maidens'

In response to the Spheres of Influence project, Rachel Maclean will discuss themes of emasculation, class and the grotesque within the work of Peter Howson. The presentation will take the form of a visual narrative, in which Maclean will use a juxtaposition of contemporary and historical reference points, including examples from her own work, to reflect upon a broader understanding of contemporary Scottish identity.
