Join us at The Glasgow School of Art on 25th October to celebrate our Research Excellence Showcase. This one day event gives short snap-shots of some of our most fascinating research projects and investigations from across our disciplines of Fine Art, Design, Architecture, Digital Design and Critical Inquiry. The day is structured around The Glasgow School of Art's eight Research Themes:

  • Architecture, Urbanism & the Public Sphere
  • Design Innovation
  • Digital Visualisation
  • Education in Art & Design
  • Fine Art & Curating
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Material Culture
  • Sustainability

And will include speakers such as Professor Linda Drew, Professor Tim Sharpe, Professor Paul Anderson, Professor Colin Porteous, Professor Alastair Macdonald, Professor Stuart Jeffery, Ross Sinclair, Ross Birrell, Dr Frances Robertson, Jonathan Boyd, Dr Charles Neame, Dr Madeleine Sclater, Dr Filbert Musau, Dr David Loudon, Joseph Lockwood and more....

  • The morning starts at 9.15am at The Mackintosh Building with coffee and networking
  • From 10am - an introduction and welcome from Professor Tom Inns, Director of The Glasgow School of Art
  • A choice of sessions for the morning taking place in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre and Bourdon Lecture Theatre
  • Lunch and networking in the Mackintosh Room
  • Transport to the Digital Design Studio, Pacific Quay (no charge but please reserve a space)
  • Afternoon sessions, including demos taking place in 'Lab 1' at the Digital Design Studio
  • Transport back to the Mackintosh Building at 4.30pm

The day will also include the opportunity to find out how your organisation can work with The Glasgow School of Art on future research, knowledge exchange, training or commercial projects.
