The Alexander Thomson Society was founded in 1991. The Alexander Thomson Society works to promote and safeguard the works of the Scottish architect Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson.
Sally White will be talking about Thomson and the Society in her role as Secretary. She has her own specialist landscape and design consultancy and was once was the Property Manager of Holmwood House during which time she joined the Alexander Thomson Society and subsequently became a Trustee. She is a joint originator of 1 Alexander Thomson Place project for the former Caledonia Road Church.
This lecture series is dedicated to Mark Baines, and draws on Mark’s extensive influence from over 30 years teaching at the Mac, moving from the local to the global, from the micro to the macro, always rooted in an ethical architectural response to context.
