Maggie Ayliffe - Artist Talk

Public Spaces

An investigation of the formal and social language of space through painting.

Maggie Ayliffe is a painter and BA Fine Art course Leader at the University of Wolverhampton. She studied fine art at the University of Humberside and holds both Masters and MPhil qualifications from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Ayliffe's work focuses upon questions of Gender and the feminine within the Broad field of visial culture and she is an active member of a wider research community - having contributed to numerous symposia and public debates. Most recently she has been working with Dr Alistair Payne (GSA) and Brendan Fletcher (University fo Salford) to set up the Conservations in Painting project involving exhibitions and symposia.
