TRANSIT is a nomadic programme of artists’ film, screened from the back of a van. For its inaugural instalment the van presents moving image work that negotiates the adventure of consumption in the era of the experience economy.

Observing, subverting, and imitating the language, postures and signs of selling, The Economy Experience celebrates the mythology of honest commerce and the unsung heroes within it. This instalment becomes an elegy for late capitalism and its obsession with surface: viewer becomes consumer; art becomes product; artist becomes salesman.
